The Caron Aqua is an incredible 89.9% efficient log boiler stove suitable for inside the home or office.  It is built to deliver hotwater and central heating without compromising the efficiency of the fire.  The firebox is brick lined, and the boiler set behind the bricks extends up into a heat exchanger above the firebox.  This exchanger is so efficient the flue gases are reduced to an average temperature of 170˚C.

The window in the stove door has a secondary glass panel set back like a conventional gas/electric oven; this deflects heat back into the boiler and helps maintain a high temperature in the firebox. Even so the Caron Aqua produces more than the official 3.5kw of space heating. The heat exchanger set above the firebox can easily be cleaned up past the baffle and through a front access door with a wire brush provided. The top, sides and back of this hotwater making machine are wrapped in insulation which sits inside a steel outer shell.  The design is near on perfect and the build quality exceptional.

The Caron Aqua replaced the boiler stove in our home/office  in order to fully test the kit, something I try and do with most of stoves we sell. The ease at which the Caron Aqua heats the water and underfloor heating is exceptional.  This is not surprising given that when the stove is on full power and firebox full of flames, the 13 tube heat exchanger absorbs most of the heat that would otherwise be escaping up into the chimney.  The flue thermometer has not been above 215C!  The 8kw boiler output is also a very conservative figure. This stove heats up the underfloor heating at the same rate to the previous Austrian cooker boiler which was officially rated at 13kw to water.  It also uses around 40% less wood to get the floors hot. The previous boiler was 83% efficient!

The Caron Aqua is more efficient than many utility log boilers and you can have it your home rather than hiding it in an outbuilding or shed. It also only requires only a large water tank (rather than a huge buffer store) especially when linked to underfloor systems, making it suitable for smaller as well as large properties. It is truly an incredible machine and and can heat an entire house depending upon the efficiency rating and size. It can also be used alongside other heat sources.  Please contact Pembrokeshire Stoves (01239 821166) for further information on the stove, or Heatshine (01239 613423) on installing a Caron Aqua, plumbing and whole house heating systems.

We are currently selling the display model which was used for 15 months only burning wood with below 20% moisture content (most of it was kiln dried so actually much drier than this). My wife and myself were the only people using it and so it has been very well looked after.  We also have a new one still in its original packaging that is also up on sale for a good deal.
